
There are three main campgrounds in Kennedy Meadows, Kennedy Meadows CG, Fish Creek, & Troy Meadows. There are also plenty of disbursed camping off trails like, Hooker, Jackass, & Monache Meadows.

Kennedy Meadows is also a wildlife haven—you may spot deer, birds, and the occasional bear (so bring proper food storage). The nearby South Fork of the Kern River adds a soothing soundtrack to your stay and offers excellent opportunities for fishing, wading, or simply relaxing by the water.
